Iwashi is named after the Japanese word for sardine, referring to small marine forage fish such as the sardine (Sardina pilchardus) and whitebait.
The livery is built on a dark, natural back, paired with a transparent belly with blue gleams. In water, it creates a clean, cool, and bright look, designed to imitate small marine baitfish without appearing artificial.
